Women Sanitary Workers Empowerment Program
The Challenge

"I had been cleaning streets for 11 years and didn't know I had the right to protective gloves. AAP changed that."
— Nasreen Bibi
Meet Nasreen.
Women sanitary workers in Multan faced systemic discrimination, unsafe working conditions, and had no organized voice to advocate for their rights. Most worked without contracts, protective equipment, or legal protections.
Our Response
Provincial Consultative Workshop
AAP brought together union leaders from all 4 districts of Punjab for a landmark provincial workshop at Hospitality Inn, Lahore.

Capacity Building Training
District-level training workshops equipped workers with knowledge of labor law, union rights, and occupational health standards.
